REFLECTION QUESTIONS
In Our Believe series, John 12, this week we saw several “foreshadows” of the last days of Christ and how these events impact our faith.
  1. Mary pours the expensive ointment on Jesus’ feet and Judas is incensed.  (See John 12:1-8)  Jesus said that what Mary did was a great thing because she prioritized Jesus while He was present.  How can you make the worship of Jesus a priority in your busy life with many others striving for your attention?
  2. We know that Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords (See John 12:12-15).  How can we do better at allowing Jesus to be our king and master?
  3. Jesus sacrificed his life for us so that anyone who believes in Him can have life to the full.  Knowing that Jesus sacrificed Himself for you should cause a response.  What should be that response?
 
Family Question:  Read John 12:1-3 together.  Mary worshipped Jesus by giving up something that was very expensive.  How can we give up something that’s valuable to us and give that to Jesus. Examples: 
  1. Giving up some money from our piggy bank to give to Jesus or someone in need. 
  2. Reading a verse or two from the Gospel of John each day (Start with John 1).
  3. Do something nice for someone who could use some encouragement.
