MESSAGE RECAP
Paul uses the word "pleroma" in Colossians 2:9-10. It means filled, complete or to have all the necessary parts. I think he used this word very intentionally. When we are in Christ we have all we need to live a life of spiritual power. John would record the words of Jesus in John 10:10, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." REFLECTION QUESTIONS 1. In what ways does the world try to steal our joy and lead us down paths of destruction? 2. Paul says we have all of the "necessary parts" in Christ. How does the church help meet our needs as we move through life? 3. Do you believe that we each play a part in helping others move towards completion? If so, in what ways do we help others in this process? |
