MESSAGE RECAP
Ephesians 4-6: The Conduct of the Church - Christians are called by God to be “prisoners” of Christ. This means we ought to follow our Master every day. Ephesians says we are to “walk worthy” - meaning we are to conduct ourselves in a way which pleases Christ. We do this through five ways: Being humble. Being nice. Being patient. Being loving. Being a team player. (See Ephesians 4:2-3) REFLECTION QUESTIONS 1. When Paul says he is a “prisoner” of Christ, what does this mean to you? 2. We are to “walk worthy” of our call. Ephesians 4:2-3 says we should do this by being humble, nice, patient, loving and unified in the Spirit (meaning we should be a team player). Which ones are a strength for you? Which one do you need to focus on more? 3. Brant mentioned using a Garmin GPS watch to monitor steps taken each day. How can we monitor how we are “walking” in our Christian life? How would you say you are doing? 4. It’s important we are unified as a body. We discussed dog-mushing and how sled dogs have a specific role in the team to accomplish amazing feats. How can you contribute to the team (i.e.: the church) and use your God-given gifts? |
